Final Notice - Part One

Mission: Mission 121: The Mobius Loop
Location: Various Locations - Planet Surface. Utgarde IV
Timeline: 1000Hrs - February 8th, 2394

Fleet Captain Torilla Yamaguchi entered the living area as she knew all of the children were off at school and daycare. She found her spouse sitting on the sofa with a PADD in his hands. "Hey Tee. Sleep well?" Jake asked of her. He regarded the fact that she was wearing a pair of jean shorts, a pair of heal-hugger socks and a tank top. About as far from the Starfleet Captains look and still be able to travel on the streets. Unless it was summer then she would simply wear a one-piece bathing suit with a pair of shorts.

"I'm suprised you and the kids let me sleep," Torilla commented with a gentle smile on her face. She was wearing normal clothing rather than her sleep attire.

"It does get a little noisy in the morning, doesn't it?" Jake then smiled warmly at his spouse. "Well. You will be cheered to know that the command changeover and Commander Tienn's promotion to Captain take effect today," he explained. "Fleet Admiral Duval signed off on it, as did the commander of Beta Group. Division Four. So you'll do the changeover this afternoon at about fourteen hundred. Admiral Sildra Vaxx-Warfield signed off on it, as did Commodore MacRae." Jake explained.

"Excellent." Torilla smiled at her spouse. "Does Tienn know?" she inquired as she gently ran her fingers over the soft fur of Grey Wind who had been sleeping on the sofa. He was clearly used to a lot of attention and could simply greet people while being asleep. He flicked his yellow eyes open before he placed his head into Torilla's lap.

"No," Jake answered. "I thought it best that you be the one to inform her of the details."

"Good. Kerris might not like the fact that she's being advanced so fast but she's earned it. Considering she all but made the Grey Wolf work without my input." Torilla explained. "Thats why I stuck in the request for her to be advanced to Captain in the first place." as she gen her fingers over the dog's ears, all of which Grey Wind had enjoyed.

Jake knew where Torilla was coming from. "Myself and several others agreed with you," he answered. "So your request was approved," he explained. "The only thing is that Tienn will need to select her new Executive officer to replace her," he added.

"Maybe she and I can go over it when I inform her that she's being advanced to replace me," Torilla answered. She then shrugged. "Or maybe she won't. I leave the matter with her to decide as she sees fit," she added. "So I got about four hours before the changeover. I want to head up to the Grey Wolf in about two hours. This leaves me about an hour to chat with you about life and what duties I'll be handling for you."

Jake regarded his spouse. He paused a moment. "Mostly you'll be handling paperwork and communications for me. You'll be starting work at the same time as me and heading home at the same time as me. It might spawn a bunch of jokes but who cares." Jake then shrugged. "There is plenty of food in the coolers. Mostly meat dishes of various kinds." he suddenly smiled. "Our Caitians were looking a little malnourished," he added. He then suddenly grinned at Torilla.

Torilla smiled back at her husband, despite her contemplative mood. "I should eat something. Yeah, thats a wise plan." she then moved into the kitchen.

Jake chuckled softly as he followed his wife into the kitchen. Siaxx at greeted Torilla as she yawned loudly while lying on one of the chairs. Jorge hopped off of the sofa as he followed Jake into the kitchen. The massive cat followed in silence before hopping up onto a chair near SIaxx. She greeted her littermate as the two touched noses.

Torilla went into the fridge, before finding some food she knew she was going to enjoy. She then warmed it up before she pulled out a chair, only to find Jorge looking up at her. She meowed loudly as if in protest. "Oh. Hey, kitty. I guess you're sitting here." Torilla then gently pushed the chair back where it was originally, before she pulled out the second chair, only to find Siaxx. The cat greeted her loudly.

Torilla sighed before she pushed the chair back where it had been a moment earlier. "It's a conspiracy," she commented. "I also need to stop by Vanguard's medical center as well. Get myself seen too. I also need a word with Doxctor Kalliope Walking Bear while I'm at it."

Jake simply laughed. He then pulled out a chair, and as Torilla half expected, there was no cat so she sat down. Jake sat across from her in one of the chairs nearby. She sat down and began to eat her meal. Today was going to be a very busy day.
