Changing Heading - Part Three

Mission: Mission 121: The Mobius Loop
Location: Various Locations - Planet Surface. Utgarde IV
Timeline: 0215Hrs - February 8th, 2394

Nebris paused a moment. "So what happened next.?" he asked.

Torilla paused a moment. "Well. After she was taken. Korelli was ordered to tell me to surrender to Montrose." she paused. "Korelii instead ordered me to proceed, and I demolished most of their fleet. Then he faked a surrender to me. Upon hearing that. His subordinates were tripping over themselves to be willing to surrender themselves." she then shrugged. "The rest you already know. Thats when I launched my ground attack and finished the job," she explained with a gentle smile. "What remained of the New Halanan military had effectively quit and gone back to their homes to wait for the inevitable."

Nebris slowly smiled. "I wish we had more time to get to know you," he admitted.

"I understand." Torilla smiled warmly at the people who would become her parents. "I feel as you do. But time is not and never was, our friend in this matter. Nor any other matter." she then let out a soft sigh. "What I will say is have faith in your daughters. Both will find their ways. Korelii and Torilla will both have families of their own. They will have a lot of children between them. Your legacy is a grand one." Torilla explained. "It's not fair that neither of you will live to see it come to fruition but know that what you taught both will see to their future successes."

Selonis paused. "You don't know what it means to hear you say that," she admitted in a soft tone of voice.

"Oh, yes I do," Torilla answered. "Torilla's road is a long and rough one. At times, she will face foes that will seek to destroy her. But she will overcome, she will survive and eventually, she will thrive. But she's gotta find her own way to get there." Torilla paused. "It's the same with Korelii. She was experimented upon. Used as a lab rat for a government agency and then tormented for someone else's wishes and desires. But she will escape and them head to the Federation as well. Her road will be a long and strange one. But she will find Torilla, and the two will build a new future for themselves, as well as for others."

Selonis traded a look with her husband. Torilla knew that look all too well. It was the language of long-bonded married couples. "Don't worry. Korelii does find her way. She and I are reunited. We have over a dozen children between the two of us." she slowly grinned. "I have two sons and three other guys who are married to three of my daughters. I also have seven daughters. I also have four Caitians and one Mirian." she paused. "My household is a full one. It can be very demanding at times." she paused a moment. "Korelii has six children. She has no grandchildren as yet as I have." she paused as she mentally began to count them all. "Elizabeth. My eldest. She has three. Gabriel, my second eldest, has four and working on five. Rachael has five and she's working on number six and there is Selendis who has two and is said to be planning one more." she then slowly grinned. "What can I say?"

"Wow," Selonis answered with a smile. "So you have fourteen with three more on the way."

"Yep. Those are the ones I know about. Lasara has not said anything, and neither has Ouros." Torilla explained. "I know Lasara is seeing someone. Also, from what I've been able to tell. Ouros is single." Torilla then shrugged her shoulders. "It's a part-time job just keeping up with them. Jake loves it. But then we have seven children presently in our household. Along with two very large Terran canines and six Terran felines." she added. "Very demanding and very hairy. My Caitians are all young." Torilla then lifted her drink to her lips. Before she polished it off. "Do not be troubled with Torilla. She will find her way. I know this because she becomes me."

Nebris and Selonis traded another look in silence. That was when the intercom made its announcement that the passengers of the starliner He were now required to reboard their vessel for departure. Selonis rose to her feet. "Thats us."

Nebris likewise rose, along with Torilla. Selonis gently gave Torilla a hug "Farewell Torilla. May the light of the full moon guide you."

Torilla smiled. "Likewise mother. Take care."

Nebris came around the table and he repeated the hug. "Farewell Tee. Take care of yourself, okay?"

"Willdo," Torilla answered as she watched the two depart without a backward glance. She breathed out and then back in again as she turned away. Her next stop was the Grey Wolf and the detailed account of this entire series of events. A smile crossed her lips.

Torilla looked down as she slowly pushed the covers off of her frame. She had a lot of work to do today.
