Mission: Mission 33: Losing the Peace
Location: Various Locations - USS Roanoke
Timeline: 0800Hrs - June 8th, 2391

Commander Torilla Yamaguchi walked into the air wing offices as she sighed softly. "Wukari... you sent for me?" she inquired. "Whats on your mind?"

Wukari looked frustrated, "Yeah, we are currently experiencing a major shortage of leadership with the fighter wings. Sideswipe is down with the stomach flu, Wicked Witch is putting up with a minor concussion due to a mishap, I'm pregnant and we are still missing Eyes all together. On top of that, Camshaft and Fives have been Awol for the past couple of days so my remaining squadron leaders have been having to pull double shifts."

Yamaguchi raised an eyebrow. "Fives is AWOL... That's not like him..." she paused. "I recall he said he was spending time learning how to ski at the Northlands Ski Resort on the Western Continent. Elizabeth said she was having a great time learning how to ski.." a sigh escaped her lips. "I can't send her.. she's down with a medical problem, I try asking about it and she tells me its not my concern.." Torilla shook her head. "Should we send someone to go retrieve our wayward pilots?"

Wukari sighed while Teval walked over, " Hey, whats up."

"Hey Teval, we're just chatting about our pilots issue." Yamaguchi explained. "You feel like going for a short trip..?" she inquired. "I don't know where Fives and Camshaft are now but I know where they will be..."

Teval nodded stiffly," yeah I can do that much at least, not like I can do much else being drugged up to my eyeballs in painkillers."

"Alright... you'll find them at the Northlands Ski Resort, its presently evening there... its on the western continent.. Elizabeth went there, so did Saki.... both were learning how to ski... before Elizabeth's issue came up.." her tone indicated that she didn't know what it was.

Lt Commander Tom "Fives" Lasky was sitting in the tavern in the ski lodge where he had made something of a home for the last three weeks, he had come down here to learn how to ski but now he just wanted to be left alone.

He had brought his birds and his cat with him but upon arrival he had taken his birds to the local bird sanctuary to set his pigeons free along with the sparrowhawk and the robin. Upon completion of that task, he had since then gotten rid of the bird cages and any reminders that he had owned them. Now all he had was Shadow, his Russian blue cat, she was up in his stateroom while he was in the lounge, sharing a table with Camshaft who was trying his best to fill his head full of shit.

"Camshaft, seriously.... you need to learn to shut the fuck up.." Fives growled. "Leave me to my pain... would ya?"

"Dude, seriously... had Teval not spazzed out about Rachael, you never woukld have ended up knocking up the Exec, but man... she's got a fine body... but you wouldn't be in this situation... Its not your fault shit fell apart man.."

"Yeah... well... it doesn't matter anymore..." and with that Fives downed the last of his pint then he raised his hand, to signal the waitress.

She obligingly came over. "Sir?" she inquired politely.

"Another pint of ale please.."

"Of course sir." and with that she went off.

"Tell me.... is Torilla that good in bed-Errrkkk."

"Mention her name again... and I'll remove something from you... that you will need..." Fives smiled sweetly, before taking his hand from around Camshaft's throat. "Shit dude... "

"Yes.... well... Why are you here Camshaft.... Other then to torture me, you're worse then an Obsidian Order agent and a lot more sloppier then the same."

"Well... I needed to get off of the ship... y'know what that's like?"

"Yeah.." Fives commented as he heard a voice talking to him as the waitress arrived with his drink. "Here ya go love.." she said as she placed a large glass down before Fives, it was his fourth whereas Camshaft had over a dozen before him. "Oh fuck... its you... what do you want?" Camshaft growled at Teval.

Fives lifted his pint glass before he took a sip. "Camshaft... You're an idiot..."

Teval looked rather annoyed. Giving camshaft the death glare, he replied calmly," You two where supposed to be on CAP an hour ago, and here you are getting wasted. You know, I would expect this out of rookie pilots, not the first wing commander and a squadron leader. If you wanted to take leave, you should have let someone know about it first, that way so poor mirage isn't stuck pulling double shifts."

Fives raised an eyebrow. "I did stick in a request for leave....at least I thought I did." he responded quietly. "Let me finish my drink... I'll be back on the ship in an hour.."

Camshaft looked down at Teval. "Dude.. seriously... leave us fucking be.... go away, you little shit."

Fives raised an eyebrow but he said nothing, as he had never seen this out of Camshaft before, he wasn't joking either as his Squadron commander was now truly angry with Teval for something.

Teval looked straight at camshaft,saying, "Hey smartass, you are AWOL right now and other people are having to pull double shifts because of you, now do I need to call security here to take your ass back to the ship in irons."

Camshaft growled before he let out a cry of pain. "That.... will be quite enough out of you Camshaft.." Fives growled. "God, I can't even enjoy my last drink.... so get up and stop making the man's job harder then it needs to be... and get the fuck outta my face." he snarled at Camshaft as the bouncer came over. "Trouble here gents?"

"Yeah, my... buddy here has had enough and he's getting angry with our skipper here... could ya walk Camshaft here to the exit..?" Fives inquired.

"Certainly, be 'appy to." and with that he gently grasped Camshaft. "Come on.. lets go." as he found himself looking down at Teval. "Oh hello, I didn't see you there..."

Camshaft threw a punch at Teval and missed, he hit the bouncer instead as Fives threw a kick, he likewise missed his target and hit Teval instead.

Teval felt an immediate intense pain, despite all the painkillers, causing him to clutch his stomach. Feeling something liquid, he saw blood on his hands, his nose telling him it was his own. Then, his body simply seemed to react on his own, as he put his hands up, and released an un-concentrated burst of energy, which seemed to radiate in all directions from his body. The blast knocked fives clean off his feet, sending him smashing into a wall and singing his clothes and hair. Camshaft got thrown into the air and flew into a window, breaking straight through it. The bouncer, didn't take air, but he got thrown back into the bar, sending glasses and bottles flying. The bouncer briefly stumbled back to his feet, looked at Teval, went crosseyed and fell backwards.

The bartender cheered along with a few people nearby. "Son... I wish I had thirty people like you..." he commented. "You alright?"

Fives slowly hauled himself to his feet. "No.. he's not..." as he tapped Teval's combadge. "Fives to Roanoke, Beam up Commander Teval and Camshaft who's about fifteen feet to my southwest, you'll find him lying in the snow... beam them both to sickbay... I need to checkout and then I'll call in in thirty minutes for extraction."

"Understood sir.. stand by for transport."

Fives went over to the bartender as he handed him some cash. "I'm sorry about the mess..." he sighed.

"Well... I never liked that window anyway... but tell your buddy he owes me for it."

Fives nodded. "Consider it done..." he smiled before taking his leave to go back to his room, and pick up Shadow, he opened his room as his cat meowed at him.

He reached down as he picked Shadow up before he gently petted her. "c'here kitty... we're going back to the ship.."

The cat meowed as he gently placed her on the sofa as he went into the next room to pack.

A short time later he was back aboard the Roanoke, he dropped off his bags before reporting to sickbay, there he found Camshaft moaning softly and Teval being checked over by Windspirit and Tienn Iteela. "Ladies.." he grunted before sitting on the nearby biobed, he was wearing full Alpine gear, including a snowsuit and armored boots.

He smiled softly to himself as he noticed Elizabeth nearby, lying on a bed before his smile faded. "Beth... what happened to ya girl...?" as Shadow curled up next to him before she began purring softly.

Camshaft sighed. "Oh hello sexy.... dammm I forgot how hot Bajorans actually were..."

Tienn regarded Windspirit. "Can I staple his ear to his kneecap?"

Windspirit, whom was currently in charge of sickbay, commented flatly, " If he continues to say anything stupid, You have my permission to castrate him."

Tienn smiled evilly. "Sounds delightful." she responded, almost as a purring sound as she produced her medkit. "See this Camshafty my love... this is what I'm gonna amputate with.." she held up a blunt scalpel.

Fives meanwhile was keeping his silence as Shadow meowed loudly while she made herself comfortable next to her companion.

Shonax stuck his head around the corner. "Meow?"

Teval looked over at Shonax while windspirit patched him up. "Well, its the stud kitty."

Windspirit looked over at shonax as he started moving over to shadow, shrugged, and just continued with her work.

Fives raised an eyebrow as Shadow did not look impressed before he tapped his combadge. "Fives to Dvald, your kitty is here... you might wanna come down here and take care of him before Zara... who is on her way down gets here..."

Siaxx's voice came back. "Understood. I'm on my way..."

Shadow meanwhile spotted Shonax before he moved across sickbay towards her, Fives spotted Shonax. "Ahh... its Demon-kitty."

Siaxx came in through the door, before she swooped down and plucked Shonax up off the floor. "Come on little man.. let me tend to you." and with that she looked at Windspirit and then Fives. "Thanks for letting me know guys."

Camshaft. "I wanna fuck a Bajoran.... I hear they are so hot in bed."

"Would someone mind shutting him up please.... I'm trying to take a nap..." Fives said softly.

Windspirit looked over at Tienn and Sokanon, saying, "Hey tell Toshnarr to drag shaft boy into one of the surgical rooms, and make sure Toshnarr drags him on his ass."

Sokanon nodded. "Gladly." before the larger Caitian turned and walked out the door as the sickbay doors opened and in walked Zara Tane.

Fives was lying on his back, his cat curled up in his arms, while Toshnarr came around the corner, followed by Sokanon as he grabbed Camshaft who shrieked loudly as Toshnarr dragged him away.

Fives meanwhile did not move.

"Why are all the people on this ship batshit crazy," Zara sighed in frustration.

Fives regarded her with a dark look in his eye. "It does not matter..." he responded quietly. "Few on this ship can answer your question... most don't know and most don't care..." he was still lying on his back, also he had dimmed the lights over his biobed.

Windspirit had largely finisher her task of patching up Teval, in which she then turned her attention to Fives. Teval looked at Zara saying, "Well, I think its because all the crazy people like you and want to be with you, so thats why they come."

"I should pledge not to be so weird then," Zara half-smiled, then looked to Teval. "...So who do I need to knife for you?"

Only now did Fives lift his head. "That.... would be me.." he replied quietly. "I kicked him..."

"So... Do you want to explain that?" Zara asked carefully.

"No." he grunted quietly. "There is nothing left to say..." Fives's tone indicated he thought the conversation was finished.

Meanwhile the door opened to one of the operating rooms nearby. "Go get me a real camshaft please?"

Tienn came out the door and nearly crashed into Zara Tane. "Oh hello Captain... excuse me." and with that she went out the door.

Fives meanwhile proceeded to sit up, his injuries reminded him of why he was here as he let out a painful hiss. "So... what do you want Captain, other than to make idle threats...?"

"My senior fighter staff gets put in sickbay for a fight... That makes me worry," Zara spoke with much concern in her face and tone. "This isn't like either of you. I expect this level of insanity from Phoenix. And I hope you two aren't headed down her path, because there's only one Phoenix allowed on my ship."

Fives regarded her. "It doesn't matter Captain..... " he responded quietly. "You can keep Phoenix..." before Tienn came back with a camshaft in her hands.

Fives growled before finally losing his temper altogether. "Someone shut his fucking ass up before I go in there and tear his throat out.." he snarled. "Dammit... all I want is to sleep...and I keep listening to his fucking ass.." as he hopped off of the bed. "I'm gonna kill him." Fives growled as he struggled towards the room where Camshaft was located.

Windspirit casually loaded a hypospray with a sedative, then he put her hand on his shoulder, and before he could react, she quickly pressed the hypospray to his neck and applied it, causing him to collapse within a second. Shaking her head, she commented, "I am not putting up with this."

Teval looked at Fives whom was spread eagle passed out on the floor, commenting, "Well, that's one way of doing it."

Tienn poked her head out. "What happened to him?" as she came over and gently picked Fives up, she then gently placed him on a biobed as she spotted a cat at the last second who bared its claws and hissed loudly at her. "Woah... what'd the cat come from?"

"The cat belongs to Fives," Windspirit replied as she began to treat his injuries.

Tienn sighed. "Alright... I'd best go help Sokanon with this issue.." and with that she went back into the isolation ward.

"Poor guy," Zara sighed with sympathetic look as she watched Fives sleep.

The door to one of the other rooms opened and out walked Siaxx, with Shonax in her arms as he complained loudly. "Thanks Vera, you've been most helpful.."

"Anytime Siaxx.." came the response before the small Bolian stopped near Zara. "Captain, what brings you to the insane asylum?" she inquired.

"I get worried when my senior staff get into trouble," Zara admitted as she turned to Siaxx and smiled at the kitty. "He looks like he's looking for trouble."

"Probably trying to father more kittens again," Teval commented from his bed.

"He should be fixed," Zara noted in a deadpan. "I don't want a ship what I have to dodge walking on cats all day."

"Shonax has already been fixed." Siaxx responded as she gently adjusted Shonax so he was now looking over her left shoulder. "So... no more fathering kitties from Beastie here." Siaxx explained as Shonax complained.

"Anything you guys need?" Zara asked to both of them.

Siaxx paused as she regarded Fives. "I think we're good here.." she responded with a smile. "I'm gonna head back to bed... and enjoy my day off... and hang out with kitty...what about you guys?"

"Read progress reports, and get drunk," Zara answered quickly.

Siaxx regarded Zara. "Is that all?" she inquired. "There has to be more to life then getting hammered... Why do you do this to yourself... I mean go and get drunk... and for what?" the smaller Bolian inquired. "It just leaves you feeling.... empty."

"It isn't exactly fair of me to go ask Torilla for a play date right now," Zara answered a bit defensively.

Siaxx raised an eyebrow. "Zara... go hang out with your friend and leave the booze at home... I know she'll be happy to see you.. regardless of what she's doing, hanging out with Saki or the twins... go visit her."

"All right," Zara agreed, however uneasily.

Teval meanwhile, slipped out of bed, when windspirit caught him," And where do you think you are going."

Teval pointed to the back rooms," Just to my sister."

Windspirit gave him a glare, then replied," Fine, but you are not leaving sickbay tonight."

Teval nodded and went over to the room where Hakaya was.
