| Personal History | Dale James Norris aka DJ was born the 29th day of June in the year 2357. He has one older brother, Adam Norris, who is an Ambassador with the Federation Diplomatic Corps. His younger sister is a scientist with the Daystrom Institute. Dale had a fairly normal childhood and adolescence while growing up in the open country of Wyoming State on the North American Continent on the family ranch owned by his parents. Though he was able to graduate high school a year early due to his keen mind and hard effort. His mother signed permission for him to enlist in the Federation Marine Corps at the age of 17 and he shipped out for basic training at Parris Island. He excelled at training and was granted the position of recruit platoon guide. He received his first space assignment aboard the USS Gemini where he met Hospital Corpsman Third Class T'Lana, the young Vulcan woman who would become his bride. They were blessed with a daughter just weeks before the end of the Dominion War. Tragedy struck during the final battle over Cardassia Prime. A Jem'Hadar strike team was able to board the USS Gemini and T'Lana was killed in action as she treated casualties in the embattled corridors of the starship. T'Mira was sent to live with her human grandparents and aunt on the family ranch but returned to live with her father once she was old enough to enter primary school. DJ has strived to be a good father and has always made it a point to spend equal time on shore leaves at Earth and Vulcan to allow both grandparents to be a part of T'Mira's life. DJ has had an extensive career in the Marines and Starfleet over the last 18 years. Though he has always been what one might call a warrior. He has always hoped his daughter and grandchildren would grow up in a galaxy that enjoyed peace. He knows in his heart that he has failed but he also knows that this is not his fault. |
