He loves his wife very much. He considers his marriage and relationship to his spouse to be one of the pillars of his character, he calls Coral one of the greatest things in his life. | Personal History | Lee was born the second youngest, in 2347 Red Deer Colony. All of his siblings were born to Robert and Sara Antilles, they were two civilians who wanted nothing to do with space or Starfleet as they lived a peaceful rural lifestyle on Red Deer. While the lifestyle they had chosen was good for them, it was not good for their children as Lee, like all of his siblings, wanted something more. All of the Antilles joined Starfleet with Lee following a year later and then Marie two years after him, when all of them turned eighteen, they sought and obtained their parents blessing to go off on their various lives journeys. Lee went into the academy in twenty three sixty five, he graduated in sixty nine and was posted to the USS Viking as one of their security officers. His assignment to the Viking was short but interesting as he earned a medal for conspicuous gallantry and a promotion to Lieutenant JG within his first year. An opening for assistant chief of security appeared on the USS Haven Jace, an older Excelsior that was ready to be retired and scrapped. Lee went for the assignment, leaving the Viking behind, he remained here for another three years, earning a promotion to Lieutenant, after showcasing his various skills in cleaning out a drug ring and a smuggling operation, this earned him several enemies but they were all dealt with in prison time, cashiering and dishonorable discharges from Starfleet. Lee was promoted to Lt Commander and assigned to what was, easily his most contentious assignment of his entire career to date, the USS Hornet, a brand new Intrepid class ship right out of the shipyards, her skipper was an overworked and tired martinet of a woman named Roxie Thomas. Lee was her Chief of Security and the two locked horns on almost everything as Thomas did not like anyone questioning her for any reason whatsoever. Lee's logs became filled with issues and notations about various disputes Thomas had with members of her crew. It was here he met Lily Williamson and they started a rather tempestuous and torrid love affair which very quickly blossomed into a romance, she was kidnapped and tortured by a Cardassian named Camet, Lee was part of the rescue team and he was forced to shoot Camet dead with his phaser rifle. However Thomas ordered Lee to be demoted two rank grades from Lt Commander back to Lieutenant JG, this was illegal and Lee said as much, she then threatened him with having him court marshalled for insubordination if he didn't back down from the issue and accept the demotion, Lee refused. Thomas filed charges against Antilles citing various issues, Lee was removed from his post and his rank demotion was made official so he filed counter-charges, JAG was called in to clean up the mess and while it took several months to sort out, they did clean it up, citing the USS Hornet's executive officer for conduct unbecoming, and Roxie Thomas who had tried to screw Antilles, was herself screwed because her actions were illegal and she was court marshalled and removed from Starfleet. She also was made to do a two-year prison sentence and have a dishonourable discharge on her record. To make matters worse, JAG could not undo the demotion on Lee's file and while Lee was able to celebrate the clearing of his name, he lost Lily on an away mission gone bad as her shuttle and everyone on it was sucked into a temporal anomaly, the effects of this were traumatic to say the very least. Lee's requests to be assigned to the search party were met with denials as his skill set wasn't needed, he was needed elsewhere and after a few months, starfleet recalled the search team after it was realized that Lily would return to normal time, but time needed to catch up with her first. Lee was forced to accept that his beloved was gone and was never coming back, now he had to learn to accept this and move on with life. Lee suddenly stopped taking care of himself and he started to drink. He was also reassigned off of the USS Hornet as her skipper was now openly hostile to Lee. He was reassigned to Starbase Three Seven Five, under the command of Admiral Ross and he remained here for several months before he was suddenly assigned to the USS Courageous. Lee's first meeting with his new skipper on the USS Courageous was an example of this, Lee did not bother to clean up and he looked terrible, Jake was not impressed but he did ask what it was that was bothering the other man, Lee decided to tell his new skipper of his tale, rather than fright with him about it, as he was expecting to have his assignment refused and then would be sent back to the Starbase. Jake accepted the man's assignment but he told Lee to go and clean himself up. Then Jake talked to the JAG officer assigned to the Courageous quietly of the matter at hand, JAG then took the matter and began looking into it. This assignment was where things would turn around for Lee as it was thanks to Commander Jake Yamaguchi that Lee was able to deal with losing Lily and finding someone else to live life with, Jake's own sibling, Coral Yamaguchi. Lee met Coral during the battle of Benzar, which was a Federation defeat but Lee was able to quickly forge a relationship with Jake's tempestuous elder sister. Lee and Coral dined at a Starbase lounge and then they went back to his place and ended up in bed together. It was an accident but neither seemed to mind. Lee impressed Coral by not treating her like she was disposable and that he wanted a relationship with some permanence, she agreed to consider it. Eight months later, in the middle of 2375, Lee and Coral were married in a simple ceremony in the lounge of the Courageous, with Jake Yamaguchi officiating as the Captain of the ship at the service, both were in dress uniforms and they both went away for a week to have lots of sex, out of the way on Deneva. Jake was only too happy to handle matters for his elder sibling and for his new brother-in-law. When they returned, both went their separate ways due to their assignments, it was not something that Lee or Coral enjoyed but the demands of war were what they were. With the end of the war came the end of combat duty for Lee Antilles and in light of his war experiences, he was offered a tour of duty aboard the USS Ajax as she would embark on a two-year exploration mission in Beta Quadrant and as the USS Ajax arrived back at Earth, where she along with 27 other ships were summoned to deal with a Borg incursion, in all thirty-six ships would be on hand to help destroy a Borg Sphere and welcome home the USS Voyager. Also during this assignment was Coral's kidnapping and torture at the hands of a species called the Narvians after the USS Ajax passed through an extremely stable wormhole into the Pegasus Dwarf Galaxy. During Coral's escape from prison, she was able to rescue a toddler which she would name Noel from certain death at the hands of the Narvian death squads before reuniting with her crew, it was her testimony that caused the Ajax to abandon the exploration mission and return to the Milky Way Galaxy. Coral would then pass Noel off to her sibling, Talon to adopt and raise as her own, to make matters even worse was that Coral didn't know she was even pregnant at the time before the embryo was taken from her, amid all of the torture that she had endured. Lee helped Coral cope as best as he could and the two found themselves, happy parents, as several children came along, Coral's pregnancies came and went, each time she delivered a healthy child, they would go on to have four in all, five if one counted Autumn who's appearance was unexpected, to say the least. Lee moved their family to his assignment on Starbase 43 as Coral would go out into the field across various assignments. Lee would raise their children. It was around twenty three eighty four when Lee switched from Starfleet to the marines, which he found to be a much better fit for him, this way he would no longer compete with his wife for assignments. So Commander Lee Antilles became Lt Colonel Lee Antilles. About the same time. Autumn left home to join Starfleet on her own, Lee supported her as his parents had supported him before he was reunited with his spouse as she would shake down her new command, the USS Pegasus, alas it was not to be as the ship ended up escorting a convoy out to the new site of Starbase Vanguard in the Taurus Reach but the convoy was ambushed, the resulting battle destroyed all of the pirates and the Pegasus was presumed lost herself. Five years later, the Pegasus returned to normal space after a trip through a kerr loop, a space-time anomaly made from super-string material. They would fins themselves in a new galaxy, their families had already mourned their passing and had moved on, Lee and Coral found themselves without their children who had been taken in by one of Coral's sisters. Since so much had happened including the loss of the USS Pegasus. Lee and Coral found themselves at loose ends, both of them were promoted to the next rank and Coral was offered command of the newly completed and commissioned, USS Kronprinz. Lee went with her without question, comment or complaint, his efforts now were to rebuild their family together. Fortuitously he did get some happy news, his daughter had married a Klingon woman, and now had produced children of her own which meant Lee and Coral were now grandparents. This was something that helped both Coral and Lee cope with their losses. |
