| Personal History | Kadian Paris was born in 2370 on the USS Odyssey, one of the first dozen or so Galaxy Class ships commissioned by the Federation, William, and his wife were rotated off of that ship not even two weeks before her destruction at the hands of the Dominion. Since then she was raised mostly by her mother while her mom was assigned to Earth Spacedock, separate from her father but she did know of him while the Federation was fighting its various wars and conflicts in the early to mid-seventies. It wasn't until she was aged six when she got to see her father again when the three of them were reunited on Starbase 211, they were here for about a year before the havoc of various assignments ensured Kadian never had a really stable home until William was assigned to TOP GUN and then was reassigned back to the Relentless three years later. Kadian and her mother followed William Paris when he was assigned as Executive Officer of the USS Ambassador, before she herself went off to the academy at age sixteen because she was two years ahead of many of her classmates due to Kadian taking many university-level classes, thus skipping her two grades ahead of her classmates. Kadian's education at the academy was highly useful to her, it allowed her to focus her studies on bioresearch and sciences rather than medicine. The subject of her Mother and her DNA was the main focus of her work. Kadian is straight out of the academy and the USS Roanoke is her first posting. Her assignment to the USS Roanoke was one of almost constant struggle and changes, as the ship went off to fight the Klingons during their war with the Gorn and later their war with the Federation, the Akurians and the Cardassians. The Klingons lost poorly but the USS Roanoke was lost. After several weeks of leave time, Kadian was reassigned to Starbase 12 as a medical research specialist, where she remained for a year before she was reassigned to Starbase Vanguard, in the same posting, a research specialist. |
